13 January 2013

dear me,

remember the date when you are reassured of his health.

"The wound is the place where the Light enters you." This is from Rumi; nothing new here.

Know that you matters as you managed to reach out when others can't. It's time to realise how much you are worthy.

Be still ouh aching heart. Never give up because you do remember this is what you want, right? Keep on praying, never lose faith.

One Phone Call

Dear me,

It happened on 7 January 2013. At about two something, you received a phone call. Did you remember that 20 minutes something call?

' He likes you,' said his good friend.

' Since when?' a question that the friend failed to answer. The friend has quit the job since 2011 and he finds it hard to have a friend that can listen to him since then. So, you can say it has been going on for years?

So, it was true when I thought I saw affection in his eyes.

So you, take care. Just do :)

Good deeds, small deeds

Is it me being too observant or most people think that good deeds must cover huge population, tragic stories or something far away? For example flying so far away as Palestine in the name of doing something good when we can easily do that here.

For example, if we really want to do something good, why not start with say...giving free English lessons to kids in need? Or give our clothes that are still in good conditions to those who can still use it? Or collect toys to be given to the hospitals?

Seriously, have we done enough? Have we ever buy food to be given to beggars (if we are really scared that they belong to syndicates)? What about helping someone who can't see cross the road?

Good deeds should not be measured by its monetary value or the publicity given by the media, IMHO. All that matters is the deeds should be done without asking something in return. Don't you think the best thing in the world is to have someone smile because of you?

P/S: I thought about this when I waved back to a couple of cute kids who were waving from inside a schoolbus. When I waved back, they were actually taken aback and smiled very wide. It actually made me happy :)
